MXLR Front Body Support for Awesomatix A800R - MAX-09-013
With the trend of feather light bodyshells and even higher top speeds, deflection of bodyshells became an issue for serious racers! The solution is our MXLR Front Body Support for the Awesomatix A800R which:
- prevents deflection of the bodyshell under higher speeds
- reduces the risk of cracking the front wheel arches of the bodyshell
The result is an extended lifetime of your bodyshells combined with better performance on the track as the shell will stay in its original shape and produce more downforce!
Our MXLR Front Body Support is made of PA12 Nylon which is very durable and offers excellent tensile, abrasion and impact resistance! In the design process we took special care about the A800R front bulkhead design and the importance of "flex" in this area. Our Front Body Support is designed to have the least flex influence possible!
Installation info's:
#1: Choose either the 6mm or 8mm M4 grub screw, depending on the height of your bodyshell.
#2: Screw the M4 grub screw in the top hole of the Front Body Support. As there is no thread pre-cutted, you will need a bit more power for the first installation! The screw will cut the thread itself into the Nylon material. We recommend doing this before you install the Front Body Support into your car!
#3: Remove the two screws which connect the bumper plate of your A800R to the bulkheads and install the Front Body Support there. We recommend using SB3X8 or SB3X10 screws here (not included in MAX-09-013) instead of the kit 6mm long SB3x6 screws.
#4: Set the Front Body Support to the correct height! The grub screw should touch the hood without additional free play when the bodyshell itself is resting on the front bodypost clips/O-rings.
Sidenote: Don't forget, this product is made by a 3D printer. It means you are able to see layers and lines from the material! We strive for the best quality our printers are able to deliver. Still you need to keep in mind that 3D printed parts are not the same standard as machined or molded products.
